December 4th 2020 Update Patch Notes

The Onmyoji Arena December 4th 2020 Update sees new free shikigami will be Komatsu, Ichimokuren, Zashiki, Ryomen, Shishio, Dai Shimei, Kisei, and Yamakaze.

Free Shikigami Lineup Adjustments

We will change the lineup of the limited-time free shikigami at 5:00 AM on 12/7. The new free shikigami will be Komatsu, Ichimokuren, Zashiki, Ryomen, Shishio, Dai Shimei, Kisei, and Yamakaze.

Onmyoji who own the God of Fortune Month Pact will have the additional free shikigami, Hako Shoujo and Ibaraki Doji.

Of these shikigami, Kisei and Yamakaze have difficulties of Hard and Extreme respectively. Onmyoji who have been in Heian-kyo for less than 7 days can’t use them in battle for free.

Shikigami Adjustments

Suzuka Gozen

Currently, Suzuka Gozen has slightly stronger suppression and damage output capabilities during the early game. We will suitably reduce the burst damage of her Passive.

At the same time, the current growth of her Ability 3’s block capability is relatively weak and not of much use in the late game. We will increase the growth of her Ability 3 by a certain amount.

Natural Passive: Sharp Weapon

Adjusted damage from 10 (+115% Attack + 4.5*level) to 5 (+105% Attack + 2.5*level).

Ability 2: Valiant Cry

Adjusted Speed Reduction from 50% to 35%.

Ability 3: Defensive Circle

Adjusted Damage Reduction from 30/55/80/105/130 to 30/55/80/105/130 (+5*level).

Onikiri

Onikiri has a slow farming speed when compared to other shikigami of the same type. We will suitably increase his jungling speed.

Ability 2: Light Vanquisher

Adjusted cooldown from 10 seconds to 9 seconds.

New: The second stage will deal 15% bonus damage to monsters.

Lord Arakawa

After Lord Arakawa learns his ultimate ability, frequently using it will consume his MP very quickly. We will increase his Max MP in the late game, and slightly decrease the MP cost of his ultimate ability.

Adjusted the growth of Max MP for each level up of the shikigami from 36 to 45.

Adjusted the MP cost of his Ultimate Ability: Flowing Stream from 80 for all levels to 70 for all levels.

Yumekui

The link time of enemies after Yumekui inflicts Sleep on them is quite short, causing it to be difficult for Yumekui’s tank build to find a suitable time to cast his ultimate ability. We will increase the link time and suitably adjust the damage bonus of Yumekui’s tank build. As Yumekui’s farming speed in the early game is quite slow, we will also suitably increase his jungling speed.

Ability 2: Dreamy Foam

Adjusted ability cooldown from 8/7.5/7/6.5/6 seconds to 6/6/6/6/6 seconds.

Adjusted damage from 50 (+50% Ability Power) (5% of target’s Max HP) to 50 (+50% Ability Power) (6% of target’s Max HP), and increased damage to monsters to 170%.

Ultimate Ability: Dream Invader

Adjusted damage from 40 (15% Ability Power) (3% of target’s Max HP) to 40 (15% Ability Power) (4% of target’s Max HP).

Aoandon

From observing Aoandon’s match data, we have discovered that Aoandon easily falls into disadvantage when laning as her laning efficiency decreases due to not having enough remaining MP after facing off against enemy shikigami in the early game. Also, her true damage to shikigami with high Magic Resist in the late game is insufficient.

To fix the above issues, we have decreased the base MP cost of her Ability 1: Butterfly Shadow and added a new mechanic to her Ability 2: Ghostly Light that decreases the Magic Resist of enemy targets hit, to improve Aoandon’s combat experience in both the early and late game.

Ability 1: Butterfly Shadow

Adjusted MP cost of basic attacks from 30 to 25.

Ability 2: Ghostly Light

New: Decreases the target’s Magic Resist by 20% on hit for 2 seconds.

Hiyoribou

After the previous adjustment to Hiyoribou, her overall strength is still relatively high compared to other Support shikigami. Hence, we will make further adjustments to slightly decrease her damage capability in the early game.

Ability 2: Sunny Companion

Adjusted inflicted Base Damage from 30/42.5/55/67.5/80 to 25/37.5/50/62.5/75.

Ability 3: Scorching Sunlight

Adjusted Base Damage of each stage from 20/30/40/50/60 to 15/25/35/45/55.

Puppeteer

We have decreased the MP Cost of Puppeteer in the mid and late game, and adjusted her base values and bonuses to improve her melee combat capability in the early and mid game.

Ability 1: Puppet Arousal

Adjusted obtained Shield Base from 80/140/200/260/320/380 (+1.1*extra Bonus Attack Damage) to 110/200/280/360/440/520 (+1.0*extra Bonus Attack Damage).

Ability 2: Occult Flurry (Melee)

Adjusted Base Damage from 20/36/52/68/84/100 to 30/50/70/90/110/130.

Ability 2: Puppet Rush (Ranged)

Adjusted Ability Damage from 100/155/210/165/320/375 (+1.25*extra Bonus Attack Damage) to 110/170/230/290/350/410 (+1.1*extra Bonus Attack Damage).

Adjusted MP Cost from 50/60/70/80/90/100 to 50/55/60/65/70/75.

Ability 3: Puppet Burst (Ranged)

Adjusted MP Cost from 30/35/40/45/50/55 to 20/25/30/35/40/45.

Optimizations and Adjustments

Adjusted the activation order of Decoy Fire and Blessing. When both reach their trigger conditions at the same time, Decoy Fire will be used first.

Optimized the rankings display for Heian-kyo Showdown and Ranked Match. The number of rankings listed has been increased, and a rank location feature has been added.
